Following a sold-out concert at La Boule Noire, Tomode release their second EP 'Riviera'. Infusing their Scandinavian melancholy with hypnotic warmth, the duo's new opus features their dreamy vocal harmonies suspended over sun-drenched synthesizers and underpinned by a vintage disco sound. "For us, the French Riviera is a place where deep natural beauty is entangled with commercial emptiness. Enjoying a deep orange sunset on cheap plastic furniture. A light coastal breeze with a hint of chlorine. Just beneath the shiny surface flows a melancholy current you can't escape," explains the duo. Following the success of their debut EP "Synergy" (2021), Stockholm-born childhood friends Viktor Westerberg and Carl Leandersson have managed to impose their catchy, genre-bending sound on the Scandinavian indie scene, earning them "Newcomer" and "Pop/Rock of the Year" awards from Nordic music magazine Gaffa. Riviera is Tomode's second EP, scheduled for release on April 14, 2023 on Lyon-based independent label Riptide Records.
